Pre-Installation Reading support
CVIT utilzes a pre-installation online traing session to familiarize
physicians about the techniques of processing, quality control, and
differences between SPECT and PET. These session are very
interactive, with users directly interacting with the data and the
expert instructor.
Preceptorships
CVIT provides a training program for clinicans investigating the
transition between myocardial perfusion SPECT to PET and
PET/CT imaging. These courses focus on the isotope handling,
practical imaging, physics of PET, artifact handling and correction,
interpretation and billing. These focused courses can be
customized and are offered year-round.
Over 70 practices across the United States and Europe have
completed a PET preceptorship at Cardiovascular Imaging
Technologies. The training familiarizes you with the PET lab and
includes observation of Rb-82 rest/stress PET/CT studies, cardiac
gating with PET, dynamic PET imaging, and basic techniques
using the Rb-82 generator. Radiation issues will also be reviewed.
The preceptorship offers a "Reading Session" with Dr. Timothy
Bateman for the interpretation and reporting of cardiac PET &
PET/CT images. This session includes the review of technically
challenging cases.
Installation and hands on training
During the installation, CVIT experts will work with your
technologists and physicians to get your program off the ground
smoothly. Our start-up program consists of a half-day of intensive
training, including first patient direct support. Our second day of
training include and intense, high volume experience to get the
user up an running with the maximum support they can have.
Post-Installation Support
Providing support after the installation is as important as providing
the technology. CVIT has physicists, programmers, physicians
and technologists with a broad range of experience in cardiac PET
and PET/CT to help solve any problem.
